END OF SECURITY GUARD TRAINING:
Final examination: Preparation exam for the Ministry exam. Minimum 70% is required to pass 100%

Our examination contains 97 multiple choice questions.  A minimum of 70% is required to pass.  Once you pass the exam, a training completion number will be issued to you, which grants you access to book and write the Ministry examination.

Modules 1-11:

Modules 1-11 are done on-line, for a total of 33.5 hours.  By finishing module by module, students unlock the next module.  You must do each module in sequence (you cannot skip modules because they will be locked until you finish the previous one).  Once you have finished all 11 modules, you would have completed the 32 hours of on-line security guard training.

Module 12: Emergency first aid and CPR level C:

Module 12 is Emergency first aid and CPR level C, which includes automated external defibrillator (AED) training.  This module can only be done in a class.  Students can book module 12 at any time during your training. You do not need to wait until you finish all 12 modules.

Our academy has this one day 6.5 hour first aid course every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00am up to 4:30pm, located at our lecture room at 7250 Keele Street, Unit 239 inside Improve Canada Shopping Mall, or at 12 Rutherford Road South, Unit 2 in Brampton.  We also have locations in Scarborough, Barrie, Mississauga, and Hamilton.

You must book a seat for this course.  There is a seat limit of 18 students per classroom.  To book a seat for your first aid and CPR course, please go to any module and you will see an option to book your first aid course.

Final examination:

Once you complete all 40 hours of security guard training (including the first aid training), you will be granted access to the final examination.

You cannot conduct the final examination until you have completed all 12 modules.  By completing each module, you unlock the access to the next module.

There will be a total of 96 questions on the examination in which you will be required to get a minimum of 70% to pass.

The final examination is a practice examination, which will allow the training institution to issue you a training completion number (or TCN).  A TCN is a 10 digit number generated by the Serco Des (the contractor that handles security guard testing and examinations) and acts as proof that you have successfully completed the security guard training.

The final examination at the end of your security guard course is just a practice examination, to prepare you for the Ministry test.  The final mark on your Ministry test will be the deciding factor on whether or not you pass or fail.

Practice examinations can be re-done free of charge, with unlimited tries.  Unfortunately, if you fail the Ministry examination, you will have to re-book the test and make a payment again.

We purposely make our practice examination harder than the Ministry examination.  This allows students to be better prepared and pass the Ministry examination on the first try.cred
